Q:  Where do I park?

A:  You can park on any of the local streets.  You are O.K. on either side of Madison Ave all night.  The meters do not work at night.  There is also a Municipal lot a block and a half west of the Winchester on the North side of Madison with lots of FREE parking.  DO NOT PARK IN THE FAMILY DOLLAR / CHARTER ONE LOT - you will be towed.

Q:  What is the layout of the Winchester?

A:  There is a Tavern in the front of the building and the Music Hall is in the back.  They are used both independently and together.  Smaller acoustic solo artists are usually on the Tavern Stage, while bigger solo acts and full bands perform in the Music Hall.

Q:  Are there seats?

A:  Yes, both the Tavern and the Music Hall have seats for nearly everybody.  It would have to be a near sell out for there not to be enough seats for everybody in the Music Hall, so if you expect a big crowd you should get here early.

Q:  Will I be crowded, screamed at, jostled or sweated upon by other concert goers?

A:  Heavens no.  There is a lot of room in the Music Hall.  There is never an uncomfortable overcrowdedness.

Q:  What kind of music does the Winchester usually host?

A:  We are recognized in Cleveland as hosting the best talent in the world.  The best musicians are featured at the Winchester on any given night.  We have blues, jazz, prog, fusion, rock, classic rock, alternative, rockabilly, alt-country, bluegrass and swing/big band.  We DO NOT book nu metal bands, hip hop or punk and do not book "screamers."  You can come to the Winchester on any given night and be assured of true musical appreciation by the concert goers and the bands/artists.  We are well known for featuring the best musicians both Nationally and Locally.

Q:  Can I reserve a seat?

A:  It depends on the show.  Some shows are general admission, meaning you just sit where you like.  Other shows are set up with some reserved seats at tables.  Call and ask if there are reserved seats at tables for the specific show you are interested in.

Q:  When do doors open?

A:  Doors usually open at 7pm.  For shows in the Music Hall people will lounge in the Tavern while we get set up and do a sound check and then when completed, people will be let into the Hall.

Q:  Does the Winchester serve food?

A:  No.  We have snacks available such as chips.  You are also welcome to order from Maria's Restaurant and have their food delivered to the club.  Ask your bartender for a Maria's menu.

Q:  How long does the Winchester stay open on concert nights?

A:  The Winchester Tavern & Music Hall is open until 2:00AM on concert nights.  You are welcome to stay after the show, have a drink and talk about what just went down!  It's usually a significant show in some respect and should be discussed.

Q:  Is the Winchester open on non-concert nights?

A:  We are regularly open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday.  We often have live music on Wednesdays, and sometimes Mondays.  We are always closed Sundays.  If there is no show on a Tuesday or Thursday we have Acoustic Open Mic Night in the Tavern.

Q:  Do you have T-Shirts for sale?

A:  Yes.  Please wear one while standing next to freeway offramps and in the middle of crowded festivals or amusement parks!  The t-shirts are 100% Cotton and are very nice shirts.  They can be purchased on this website or at the club any night we are open.

Q:  Where do I get my tickets?

A:  We have actual tickets for shows, which you can get at the club.  You may call ahead and charge tickets by phone and your name will be on the list at the door on the day of the show and your tickets will be waiting.  Just show your ID to the guy at the door on show night and you're in!  IF the show is not sold out you can always pay at the door on the night of the show.  We do not use Ticketmaster.  (There is just a small $8.00 fee for reading this, however).  (Joking of course)!
